To connect your Philips Hue lights to Apple Home, follow these steps:

Open the Philips Hue app and navigate to Settings > Smart home.
Tap Get started.
Tap Siri & Apple Home.
Tap Set up.
Tap Generate code. In the next screen, copy the code to your clipboard.
Tap Go to manual pairing.
Tap My Accessory Isn't Shown Here.
Under the first list item, tap Enter code... and paste the code you copied in Step 5.
Select the Hue Home you’d like to pair with Apple Home or create a new one and tap Done.
Select the Hue Home you’d like to pair with Apple Home or create a new one and tap Done.

My Bridge cannot be found in Apple Home. What should I do?

To set up Philips Hue with Apple Home, you'll need the following:

A Bridge
At least one Philips Hue light
A mobile device with iOS and the Apple Home app

If you are setting up Philips Hue with Apple Home over Matter, next to the prerequisites listed above, you will also need either a HomePod, HomePod Mini, or Apple TV 4K (3rd generation). Go to www.apple.com for latest compatible devices.

Can I control my lights while away from home with the Home app?

Yes! You’ll need an Apple device that stays at home, such as an iPad, Apple TV, or HomePod.

What if my lights in the Philips Hue app don’t match up with my Home app?

If you make changes to the lights in your Philips Hue app, your Home app may not reflect these changes. To make them match go to Settings > Smart home > Siri & HomeKit > Settings and tap Sync setup to Home.

How do I connect with Apple Home and Siri with Matter in the Philips Hue app?

If you haven’t linked Apple Home with Philips Hue yet, go to the Settings tab in the Philips Hue app. Scroll to the Smart integrations section, and then tap Smart home. Tap Apple Home & Siri and follow the on-screen instructions. If you have already linked Apple Home, you will need to unlink it before switching over, which deletes your settings, such as automations or scenes you saved. You will be guided through the setup process again.

All your current Philips Hue settings in Apple Home will be lost. When linking Philips Hue and Apple Home with Matter, Room sync is not supported — you'll need assign each light/accessory to a Room, as well as recreate any scenes you'd like to keep. Light names are synced when you link the apps, but any changes you make in the Philips Hue app after linking will not sync automatically. Additionally, Adaptive Lighting is not supported.

What should I do if I want to keep or revert back to Apple Home using the Home Accessory Protocol (HAP) instead of Matter?

To use Apple Home via HAP, you need to set up the Bridge from the Apple Home app. First, push the push button on top of the Bridge. In the Home app, tap the + icon, and tap Add accessory. Tap Philips Hue - [Bridge ID]. Scan the code on the back of the Bridge and follow the on-screen instructions to set it up.

Why is my Philips Hue motion sensor called an “occupancy sensor” in the Apple Home app?

This is Apple’s default name for our motion sensor when it's connected via Matter. However, your motion sensor works as it always has, using the motion it detects to turn on the lights. The motion sensor cannot determine how many people are present in a room.

I paired my Bridge in the Apple Home app using the Home Accessory Protocol (HAP), but my lights and Rooms aren't synced. What should I do?
