What's the difference between the original Signe lamps and the Signe gradient lamps?

Signe gradient lamps offer multiple colors of light at the same time over their entire length. The older Signe could only produce one colour of light at a time. Additionally, the new design has a rounded base and is available in black, white and oak.
Do I need a Hue Bridge to control the Signe gradient lamps?

No – Signe gradient lamps have built-in Bluetooth, so you can control them without a Hue Bridge. Adding a Bridge Pro unlocks more Hue features, including Entertainment features, MotionAware automations and more!

I’ve had these for a couple of years, they’re great, the gradient features and presets are impressive, although the price was exorbitant. However, Philips have just released a couple of other new floor standing tall lamps (although going through the spec on both new products, I’m genuinely finding it hard to tell the difference, although they are not as bright as my lamp it seems) these new lights have more features including their ‘Cromasync©️’ and they’re a 3rd of the price. I’m quite annoyed to be honest.
