Update for Works with Nest users

Functionality for Nest Cam, Nest Thermostat and Nest Protect will be temporarily discontinued starting November 17, 2020. We are working with Google to bring new features.

Changes to Works with Nest

The Works with Nest program has been one of our first and most unique smart home integrations. As you may know, Google is transitioning its ‘Works with Nest’ program to the ‘Works with Hey Google’ program, impacting all third-party integrations including Philips Hue. Related to this, our integration with Nest Thermostat, Nest Cam and Nest Protect will be discontinued starting November 17, 2020.

This will only be temporary, as Google is building existing Works with Nest features into the Google Home App. To get access to features like Home and Away Routines, link your Philips Hue account to the Google Home app. Please see the Google Help Center to learn how to set up these Routines and control your Philips Hue devices. We also suggest exploring the advanced presence-mimicking Hue Labs formula.

If your Philips Hue light bulbs are connected to Google Assistant, you can continue to use your Nest smart speakers and displays to control your lights.

Stay tuned as we continue working closely with Google to bring new and improved lighting features for your devices.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
