With a Bridge Pro you can connect 3 timed more lights to create a large setup to cover your whole home, inside and outside. Go from 50 to 150+ lights and from 12 to 50 accessories/controls

I bought this Bridge Pro to replace my existing older bridge, which worked fine. I thought the Pro version would lead to faster response times between lights and devices but after successfully migrating everything without a problem, I don’t notice any meaningful performance increase. Did it migrate everything well? Yes! Did I really need to upgrade? Probably not… but now I know my system is ready to handle more.
Two old bridges are better

A newer bridge with less range. After reaching the maximum number of lights on the older generation bridge, transitioning to this new bridge is next to impossible. Your options are to delete all your lights from the old bridge and reconfigure them from scratch. With the support team not being able to provide any actual support, you learn it's easier to get two old bridges and it turns out to be cheaper anyways. The range on this new bridge is shorter than the old one anyways, for those lights all the way at the end of the driveway.

This bridge was supposed to solve some of the problems of its predecessor, and in that narrow sense, I suppose it has succeeded. Unfortunately, its strikingly poor reliability creates a much bigger problem: it significantly diminishes the value of the Hue ecosystem as a whole. The real cost of that unreliability isn't simply downtime or the number of dropped connections, it's what happens afterward. When the bridge reconnects, it frequently fails to restore its integrations cleanly, forcing you to completely remove and re-add it and all of the underlying devices tied to the bridge to whatever smart-home platform you're using to integrate Hue with the rest of your system. The larger your Hue installation, the worse this becomes. More lights mean more work every time the bridge fails, until eventually the easiest solution is to throw the bridge and all the bulbs tied to it in the garbage.

I gave it one star because it only half works had no problem out of my old one but this one the motion doesn’t work and the security features don’t either.

Unfortunate that the “Pro version” isn’t PoE. Very easy to migrate my current system, and the motion feature works great. But overall the response time is MUCH slower than the old version with Alexa commands. By the tune of 8-9 seconds slower.

Great upgraded hub. Disregard the member who says the range isn’t as good as this is not true. My ONLY complaint is being able to easily transfer one old hub to the new hub.
