Great Light, but poor construction...

I recently bought the square wall lantern for a pack patio w/ covering. It worked great. Quality was amazing. Then I bought one to replace my front of house light. Then it rained...and what others have shared is true...it does leak water into the box. And based on my photos, you too will wonder how water got in...
No way that this is an outdoor light

I bought nine of these for my new construction house. The electrician put up the first one, and within 24 hours and a single light rainfall, the sealed interior was fogged and had water droplets. Again, this is INSIDE the fixture. The next day after it dried, there is now dirt inside the glass supposedly sealed fixture, carried from the rain water. See photos. I’m totally disappointed that an outdoor rated light from Hue can’t last 24 hours and a single rainfall. All have to go back.
Aweful finish quality - Paint fades in the sun

The control of the lighting is fine, but the paint job is absolutely terrible. I have nearly a thousand dollars worth of outdoor lights for Phillips and all their black paint is basically now light gray after 12 months... Not happy... ****Do not buy any outdoor lights from Philips.
A Good Fixture, best in moderate temps.

It’s a beautiful light, but this was a replacement for an identical one that unexpectedly “died” after not quite 3 years. Lifespan for things outside 24/7 can be rough, especially in New England (where normal outside temperatures routinely go outside this product’s operating range, especially in the winter.) I think you will have the longest life and most satisfaction with this product if you live in a temperate area with more moderate winters (semi-random Texas blizzards excepted). Otherwise, roll the dice, and hope it lasts (or be willing to shell out for a replacement).

The unit doesn’t sit flat on my flat outdoor porch wall! Due to the gap at the back, bugs get into the unit. Looks great otherwise. The design team should be creative to address the issue but this one is going back.

I bought the starter kit on Amazon and soon thereafter bought an extension light. The color is fantastic and when needing bright light I can choose the concentrate setting it provides bright, crisp white light. I have them set to come on at local sunset time and off at local sunrise time. No timers to set or reset when time changes or if there is a power outage. I can't seem to find any extension lights on the Amazon site (they are popular and sell fast I guess) In closing buy these! You won't regret it.

Outstanding! These lights are incredible and the hit in my neighborhood. Fully programmable with an incredible number of colors to choose from. Many scenes to choose from. I use two different scenes one for evening and one for the morning. I really enjoy the dynamic feature but my only complaint is you have to turn on that feature each time you use it. It should be part of the programmable features to activate each time the lights turn on. I would also like to see more holiday scenes to choose from. I initially placed then along the side walk but wasn’t impressed. I relocated each light to be near a small bush and they really popped. OMG! They now make the front of my house look amazing at night. I highly recommend trying different placements to get the effect you are looking for.

Great at first, until the weather and sun gets to them. Discoloration of the white plastic. We’ve had almost 10 of these now and the LED color seems to go after about the warranty stage.

Now have three bollards and six spot lights. Simple and easy to set up. Confusing though as to maximum distance - one leaflet says 35 m and another shows three with maximum of 20 m between. Would like range to be larger than 35m! Big upgrade from the low voltage lighting we had previously and the ability to link to Homekit and automation rules is a big plus. Will be interested to see how they cope with the winter.

I ordered these online and got then I was blown away by the craftsmanship; well built. Bought three to go across the front of my house. Have only played with them a little but I can tell when the holidays come around I'll be the coolest house on the block. (at least on my side of the street) I'm the only one on that side of the street, but may neighbors are gonna have fun trying to be as cool.
