The Hue wired doorbell is not compatible with your existing doorbell  (chime). We recommend adding the easy to install Hue Smart chime which allows you to hear the doorbell anywhere in your home, select tones and create schedules when you want to hear the doorbell and when you want to mute it (for example during the night)

MotionAware is a unique technology, it will turn on lights when motion is detected in room without using a motion sensor. This will work with a setup with 3 lights and/or chime or above.

The chime includes multiple tones to choose from however it's not possible to add new tones to the chime by yourself.

To alert neighbours and/or scare away intruders the siren loudness is 87DB.

We designed the installation steps to be as easy as possible. Remember to turn-off your circuit breaker before doing any electrical work.  If you don’t feel comfortable during the installation, we recommend hiring a qualified electrician for support.

The field of view is >180 degrees. This will help to detect packages that are placed near the door and have a good view who is in front of your door.

Light chiming is a unique Hue feature that allows you to blink one or more lights in your home when the doorbell is pressed, which is great when you don't want to be disturbed by the sound of your Smart chime for example when you are at work or when family members are asleep.

Yes, via the edit screen of your Wired Doorbell you can configure the behavior of your Smart Chime throughout the day. You can configure up to 10 different timeslos, and in each a different ringtone and volume can be selected for your chimes.

Yes, you can mute and unmute by simply pressing the button on the smart chime.

We recommend adding a Bridge for the full options and the best Hue has to offer such as turning on lights when the camera detects motion or let the lights blink when somebody presses your doorbell, but you can already start using the Wired doorbell, and other camera's without having a Bridge.

The Hue wired doorbell doesn't inlcude a battery, it is designed to be permantly powered  by low voltage doorbell systems.

No, the product is maintenance free and the front cover is fixed.

Yes, we designed the doorbell to be permanently used outdoors with an IP54 rating.

The Camera resolution is 2K QHD in a 1:1 ratio 1984x1984 pixels.

To install the doorbell you will need a ​Pencil, Philips screwdriver, Power drill, 6mm masonry bit, Rubber mallet or hammer and a Safety screw torx key (included).
