The plug is too chunky and won't fit in an external waterproof socket. So pretty useless unless you pay an electrician a load of money to make modifications. The other type of lightstrips are fine, because the clever electronics are separate with a lead to a standard uk plug. Why have you changed this .... very poor R&D Phillips, I expect better from a high end high price product

Do not buy this product if you actually want to use it outside in the UK. The plug does not fit a standard UK outdoor socket (huge power pack), so it is useless. Customer service claim it is the correct design and will not assist and basically say buy something to get the correct plug. If you do not want to use it outside it is great, just a shame it is designed for outdoor use and you have to buy something extra to actually use it safely.
